Ibrahim H. Osman

Ibrahim H. Osman obtained his PhD in Management Science, Imperial College, UK; MSc in Operations Research, Southampton, UK; and BSc in Mathematics, Lebanese University. He was a tenured assistant professor at University of Kent at Canterbury, UK; visiting associate professor, University of Kuwait; is currently at the American University of Beirut serving in different capacities, HE Husni al-Sawwaf Endowed Chair in Business and Management, Chair of Business Information and Decision system, Associate Dean for Research; and is a member of National Railway and Public Bus Transport Authority, member of the advisory boards to the Prime Minister office on public reform in Lebanon, and consultant to education quality assurance authorities in Lebanon, Bahrain, France, India, and Malaysia. He is a consultant to international agencies on electronic government services in Qatar, Kuwait, Lebanon, Turkey, UK, and UN-ESCWA. He received the Citation of Research Excellence Award from ANBAR Electronic Intelligence, has co-edited four books on Meta-Heuristics, co-founded the Meta-Heuristics International Conference series, published a large number of refereed publications in high impact factor Journals, and been awarded a number of extramural-funded research projects from agencies in EU, QNRF, and CNRS.
