Marcelino Pereira dos Santos Silva

Marcelino Pereira dos Santos Silva is professor of computer science at Rio Grande do Norte State University (UERN) since 1996, where was the Director of the Post Graduate Department and Coordinator of the Master Program in Computer Science. Born January 16, 1970 in São Paulo, Brazil, he earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science from the Federal University of Campina Grande in 1992 and his Ph.D. from the National Institute for Space Research in 2006. Member of Association for Computing Machinery and Brazilian Computer Society, his research interests, projects and publication include data mining, geoinformatics, image processing, artificial intelligence, and computer technologies for oil industry.
