Matthew Hussey

Matthew Hussey: Emeritus Professor, Director of Faculty of Science of Dublin Institute of Technology, Ireland (1994-2007), Head of Department of Physics (1983-1994). B.E. (National University of Ireland, Dublin), M.Sc. and Ph.D. (University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia) in 1963, 1967 and 1970 respectively. Main research and publication areas (over twenty books published and over 200 book chapters, peer-reviewed papers and conference proceedings): medical physics and bio-engineering, theory of ultrasound, ultrasound imaging and image analysis, theory of electrocardiography, science of biomaterials (dental, optometric and others), textbooks and other science publications in Irish language, higher education policies and procedures, including quality assurance, research development and links with industry.
