Tom Adi

Tom Adi is the lead researcher and teacher at the Readware Institute in Gainesville, Florida. He is a computer scientist and linguist who has been studying the nature of language, learning and creativity for three decades. His basic discovery is called Deep Semantics which basically shows how the sounds of alphabets symbolize abstract concepts that combine into words that give us principles of research, decision-making, and discovery. The website http://www.readwareinstitute.org offers a simplified introduction into this research and its applications in Information Technology and beyond.

Cognitive Modeling Systems in Information Technology, Psychology, and Business
Tom Adi. © 2017. 1 hr 44 mins.
The ways in which humans perceive and interpret the surrounding world are affected by numerous factors. By utilizing new theories for information processing, these applications...
Adaptive Interoperable Models of All Things Based on Human Language
Tom Adi, O.K. Ewell, Tim Vogel, Kim Payton, Jeannine L. Hippchen. © 2015. 11 pages.
A Framework of Cognition and Conceptual Structures Based on Deep Semantics
Tom Adi. © 2015. 19 pages.
The argument is made that artificial intelligence (AI) systems which simulate cognition fail to reach significant goals because they rely on inadequate frameworks of cognition...
The Semantic Dominance of Emotional Templates in Cognitive Structures
Tom Adi. © 2015. 13 pages.
Deep semantics explains how the use of natural language influences human behaviour in all its domains. As it turns out, the phonetic structure of each word root in any language...
Muhkam Algorithmic Models of Real World Processes for Intelligent Technologies
Tom Adi, O.K. Ewell, Tim Vogel, Kim Payton, Jeannine L. Hippchen. © 2013. 27 pages.
This paper significantly revises and expands a chapter in a handbook of research on synthetic emotions published in 2009. The authors extend the scope beyond emotions to all real...
A New Theory of Cognition and Software Implementations in Information Technology
Tom Adi, O. K. Ewell, Patricia Adi, Tim Vogel. © 2009. 25 pages.
The Scientific Method means that theories are developed to explain observed phenomena— similar to the task of text analysis—or to search for unobserved phenomena—similar to text...
A Theory of Emotions Based on Natural Language Semantics
Tom Adi. © 2009. 32 pages.
A new theory of emotions is derived from the semantics of the language of emotions. The sound structures of 36 Old Arabic word roots that express specific emotions are converted...
A theory of Semantics Based on Old Arabic
Tom Adi. © 2007. 35 pages.
In this chapter, we show how we derived a universal theory of semantics. Then we discuss the discovery’s impact on automated learning and text analysis. Using induction, we...
