This book suggests enterprise resource planning (ERP) frameworks for the academic sector and looks at their applications for improving teaching, learning, and student-related services. International contributors are experts in diverse areas such as computer simulation, education, knowledge management, information and communication technology, and industrial economics. They address major themes such as process automation, reduction of process cycle time, and better service to all stake-holders. Editor/Author Biographies
Kanubhai K. Patel is Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Ahmedabad University. He previously worked as faculty member at Gujarat University. He completed his MCA from Gujarat Vidyapith, Ahmedabad in June 1997. Areas of research interest for Patel include assistive technology, virtual learning environments, computer networks, and enterprise resource planning. He has authored over fifteen publications, including two refereed journal papers and three book chapters. He is reviewer in couple of peer reviewed journals.
Sanjay K. Vij received his PhD degree from IIT, Bombay, in 1974. He is currently a Director in the Department of CE-IT-MCA, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Institute of Technology (SVIT), Vasad. His research interests include text mining, knowledge management, and NLP. He has authored over twenty publications, including over seven refereed journal papers and two book chapters. He is a registered PhD guide with Dharmsinh Desai University, Nadiad. He is Member Board of Studies at MS University, Baroda and Dharmsinh Desai University, Nadiad. He had been a panel of experts/advisor in GSLET and GPSC. He is reviewer in couple of peer reviewed journals. He has been Chairman of Computer Society of India, Vadodara Chapter.
