Editor/Author Biographies

Marco Adria is Professor Emeritus of Communication at the University of Alberta. He is co-editor of Handbook of research in citizen engagement and public participation in the era of new media (IGI Global, 2016). He has been a visiting professor in the Graduate Program in Public and Corporate Communication, University of Milan, Italy, and in the Department of Business at the Tecnolόgico de Monterrey, Mexico. His book, Technology and Nationalism (Montreal: McGill-Queen's University Press, 2010) won the Lewis Mumford Award for Outstanding Scholarship in the Ecology of Technics, awarded by the New York based Media Ecology Association.
