Manager and coordinator of the first Human-Computer Interaction Lab. in Barcelona, Spain (1997 – 1999). Professor in American and European universities, technical and professional colleges (1981 – present), subjects: computer science, computer graphics and animation, human-computer interaction, design and multimedia. Scientific journalist and writer (1989 – present). CEO: Blue Herons Editions. Coordinator of AInCI (International Association of Interactive Communication –www.alaipo.com). Main research interests: HCI, communicability, quality, auditory and evaluation of interactive systems, computer graphics and animation, social communication, semiotics, e-learning, video games, ecological and cultural heritage. ACM and IEEE member.
Maria Valeria Ficarra is a lawyer. B.A. Union lawyer (2003). Master in International Legal Practice (2008). Public Relations: AInCI (International Association of Interactive Communication) and ALAIPO (Latin Association International of Human-Computer Interaction) Barcelona, Spain. Main research interests: labour and international law, legal and business strategies, problem-solving techniques, leadership, psychology, sociology, communication, cultural understanding and cooperation.
Miguel Cipolla-Ficarra is a professor and research. PhD. Area: Power Electronic Engineering (1996). B.A. Electronic Engineering – Telecommunications (1990). B.A. Electric Engineering (1999). Professor in European universities, technical and professional colleges (1987 – present). Software project manager: design, development and implementation of algorithms. Product manager, application engineer and technical sales engineer in international projects. Director of laboratory in F&F Multimedia Communic@tions Corp. Technical manager in AInCI (International Association of Interactive Communication –www.alaipo.com). Main research interests: interfaces, usability engineering, interactive systems, telecommunication, computer sciences, networks, industrial design, programmation, automation, motors on microprocessor, ecological energy, e-commerce and computer aided education.
Alejandra Quiroga received a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences in 1983 (Bahia Blanca, Argentina). She has a Educational Bachelor in 1988 (Buenos Aires, Argentina) and a Master's Degree in Computer Engineering in 2004 (Sweden). She is currently a teaching assistant (La Pampa, Argentina) and PhD student. Her current research subjects are education, user-centered design, open source software, software engineering and robotics. New fields of interest are computer graphics, computer-aided design, computer vision, semantic web and cloud computing.
Jacqueline Alma lives and works in Vancouver (BC), Canada. She was a professor at the HEC Montréal École de Gestion, British Columbia Institute of Technology, and Vancouver Film School. She received her B.A., master’s and doctorate degree in Computing & IT from the Simon Fraser University and University of British Columbia. The main areas of the interest are computer science, database, interactive design, video games, computer animation, cinema digital and business technology management.
Jim Carré is a teacher in Curaçao Island. He received his master’s degree in Psychology in Florida (USA). He has a B.A. in Computer Science (Brazil). Furthermore, he had studied in Faculty of Societal and Behavioral (Curaçao) and Informatics (Venezuela). His recent topics of interest are: psychology, psychiatry, cognitive models, marketing and commerce, e-learning models, learning systems, artificial intelligence, systems security and augmented reality.
