Editor/Author Biographies
Noor Zaman acquired his Degree in Engineering in 1998, and Master’s in Computer Science at the University of Agriculture in Faisalabad Pakistan in 2000. His academic achievements further extended with a PhD in Information Technology at University Technology PETRONAS (UTP), Malaysia (expected in 2012). He is currently working as a Faculty member in the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, King Faisal University, in Saudi Arabia. He takes care of versatile operations including teaching, research activities, Information Technology management and leading ERP projects. He headed the Department of Information Technology (IT), and administered the prometric center in the Institute of Business and Technology (BIZTEK), in Karachi Pakistan. He has worked as a consultant for Network and Server Management remotely in Apex Canada USA base Software house and call center. Noor Zaman has authored more than 35 research papers, and edited two books, has many publications to his credit. He is an associate Editor and reviewers for reputed international research journals around the world. He has completed several research grants and currently involved with funded projects in different countries. His areas of interest include Wireless Sensor Network (WSN), Network, Network and Communication, Telecommunication, Mobile Computing, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Unix, and Linux.
K. Ragab is an assistant professor at Department of Computer Science, College of Computer and Information Technology, King Faisal University, Saudi Arabia. Moreover, he is on leave assistant professor of Computer Science at Department of Mathematic, Computer Science division, Ain Shams University. He joined Department of Computer Science, Tokyo University in 2005 as postdoctoral position. He was born in 1968 and received his B.Sc., M.Sc. degrees in Computer Science from Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt in 1990, 1999, respectively and Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Tokyo Institute of Technology in 2004. He has worked in Ain Shams University, Cairo Egypt in 1990-1999 as assistant lecturer. He has worked as research scientist in Computer Science Dept., Technical University of Chemnitz, Germany in 1999-2001. His research interests include autonomous decentralized systems, Peer-to-Peer Systems, video streaming systems, Overlay Networks, Web-services and application-level multicast.
Azween Abdullah obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science in 1985, Master in Software Engineering in 1999, and his PhD in Computer Science in 2003. His work experience includes twenty years in institutions of higher learning and as a director of research and academic affairs at two institutions of higher learning, Dean of his faculty, and fifteen years in commercial companies as Software Developer and Engineer, Systems Analyst, and IT/MIS and educational consultancy and training. He is currently an Associate Professor at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Malaysia. He spent more than a decade with leading technology firms and universities as a process analyst, senior systems analyst, and project manager. He has participated in and managed several software development projects, including management Information Systems, software process improvement initiatives design and implementation, and several business application projects. He has many years of experience in the application of IT in business, engineering, and research and has personally designed and developed a variety of computer software systems, including business accounting systems, software for investment analysis, website traffic analysis, determination of hydrodynamic interaction of ships, and computation of environmental loads on offshore structures. His area of research specialization includes computational biology, system survivability and security, autonomic computing, self-healing and regenerating systems, formal specifications, and network modeling. His contributions include publishing several academic books and in the development of programs to enhance minority involvement in bridging the ICT digital gap.
