Abstract

The earth's magnetic fields are carriers of biologically relevant information that connects all living systems. The electromagnetic coupling of the human brain, cardiovascular and nervous systems, and geomagnetic frequencies supports the hypothesis that the mediated reality of electromagnetic bandwidths can be correlated with bio-energetic and geomagnetic frequencies. Understood as bio-energetic functions (Thinking, Feeling, Sensing, & Intuiting), the media-sphere becomes measurable according to principles of coherency (measured as heart-rate variability, HRV) and principles of Jungian dream analysis (compensation and dramatic structure). It has been demonstrated that the rhythmic patterns in beat-to-beat heart rate variability reflect emotional functions, permeate every bodily cell, and play a central role in the generation and transmission of system-wide information via the electromagnetic field. So, the “media dream” becomes susceptible to psychological analysis leading to a better understanding of unconscious cognitive archetypal patterns of contextual collectives.

Introduction

If the degree of harmony and coherence between conscious and unconscious dimensions of human cognition can be increased and attuned to biochemical, digital, and geomagnetic frequencies in the Earth- ionosphere, it is probable that such harmonious energetic fields would improve the quality of life on earth. Happily, the principles and tools for researching the dreamscape are available. (Schafer, Stephen, and Yu, Gino (2011; Schafer, Stephen, 2007; Schafer, Stephen, 2011; Schafer, Stephen, 2012) Fourier transforms are the mathematical key to correlating these diverse dimensions. This type of calculus, invented by an eighteenth century Frenchman named Jean B. J. Fourier, is a mathematical way of “converting any pattern, no matter how complex, into a language of simple waves. He also showed how these wave forms could be converted back into the original pattern.” (Talbot, 1991, p.27)

Fourier transforms enabled the theoretical formulation of holograms in 1947 by Dennis Gabor (who later won a Nobel Prize for his work). Holograms are illusions that seem to have extension in space. This is accomplished by converting a picture of an object into a blur of interference patterns on a piece of holographic film and back into an image of the original objects. The hologram is a virtual image that possesses no more extension in space than does the three dimensional image you see of yourself in a mirror. (Talbot, p 24) In other words, holograms are illusions that employ the same mathematical principles that generate the digital media-sphere. Increasingly, scientific evidence confirms the relationships among different scales in the unified field of energy and information. Researching the media-sphere according to principles of cognitive processes could lead to a better understanding of ethical, coherent behavior in collective dimensions. (Schafer, Stephen and Palamides, Thomas (2011)

One of the byproducts of holographic research has been the realization that—when an image or pattern is translated into the Fourier language of wave forms—the whole exists within every part. This realization has set the stage for using holography to model the transition—the paradigm shift—into a mediated reality. Ironically, the existence of the whole within the part has ancient precedent. It was a fundamental principle of Alchemy as represented metaphorically as the seed. (Hall, 2003, pp. 494-524) Interestingly, the alchemical metaphor of translating base metal into gold can also be understood in terms of experimentation with energetic frequencies. Based on the discovery of the DNA molecule, the principle of wholeness within the part has become fundamental to the science of genetic manipulation.
