Function and Homology of Proteins Similar in Sequence: Phylogenetic Profiling
Measure to compare protein sequences by their amino acid composition. Sub-summing validations of two character states (amino acids on an identical position) in a similarity measure leads to the similarity score. The distance is the difference of the relative similarity to 1.
