Abstract
With the increased use of the Internet to share confidential information with other users around the world, the demands to protect this information are also increasing. This is why, today, privacy has found its important place in users' lives. However, Internet users have different interpretations of the meaning of privacy. This fact makes it difficult to find the best way to address the privacy issue. In addition, most of the current standard protocols in use over the Internet do not support the level of privacy that most users expect. The purpose of this chapter is to discuss the best balance between users' expectation and the practical level of privacy to address user privacy needs and evaluate the most important protocols from privacy aspects.

A Cloud Platform for Sharing Educational Digital Fabrication Resources Over the Internet
Internet protocol security (IPSec) is a suite of network protocols used in Virtual Private Networks (VPNs). IPSec includes protocols to support network-level peer authentication, data-origin authentication, data integrity and data privacy through encryption.

Evaluating Security Mechanisms in Different Protocol Layers for Bluetooth Connections
IPsec (IP security) is a suite of protocols for securing Internet protocol communications by encrypting and/or authenticating each IP packet in a data stream. IPsec also includes protocols for cryptographic key establishment. There are two modes of IPsec operation: transport mode and tunnel mode. IPsec is implemented by a set of cryptographic protocols for securing packet flows. Specifically, the authentication header (AH) protocol provides authentication, payload (message), and IP header integrity (with some cryptography algorithm also nonrepudiation). On the other hand, the encapsulating security payload (ESP) protocol provides data confidentiality, payload (message) integrity, and with some cryptography algorithm also authentication.
