Thomson Scientific Computes Impact Factor® of 1.053

IGI Global’s International Journal of Web Services Research, part of the expanding full-text journal collection InfoSci-Journals, now holds an impact factor. Newly released metrics from Thomson Scientific, publisher of the most widely recognized ranking system for scholarly journals, recognizes the reputation of IJWSR (editor-in-chief: Dr. Liang-Jie Zhang, IBM, USA) with a high impact factor of 1.053.

"I am very delighted and proud to announce that IJWSR has achieved an impact factor of 1.053," said Dr. Liang-Jie Zhang, IJWSR's Editor-in-Chief.

Created by Thomson Scientific (formerly the Institute for Scientific Information [ISI]), the Impact Factor is a widely recognized classification of a journal's influence and reputation within the scholarly community, based on the ratio, during a defined period of years, of citations of a journal's articles to the total number of articles published.

"It is good to receive such excellent news about a new impact factor for one of our journals," said Dr. Mehdi Khosrow-Pour, D.B.A., IGI Global's President and Publisher. "We are very pleased and would like to thank Dr. Zhang for all his hard work, commitment, and dedication to this journal."

Published since 2004, the International Journal of Web Services Research (IJWSR) is the first refereed, international publication featuring only the latest research findings and industry solutions dealing with all aspects of Web services technology.
