IGI Global, leading publisher of the
latest computer science and information technology management
research, officially announces their new, non-exclusive
partnership with Blackwell Corporation, supplier of books and
bibliographic support to academic and research
libraries. This new agreement will assist libraries in
their acquisition of IGI Global’s InfoSci-Books
collection, containing thousands of full-text IT book
chapters.
Libraries interested in subscribing to InfoSci-Books
can now contact Blackwell’s customer service
to set-up a free 30-day trial, process orders, or find out more
information.
“Blackwell is a
wonderful resource for libraries when considering their
electronic content options and we are very pleased
to provide this additional option
to subscribe
to InfoSci-Books,” says Ms.
Jackie Zanghi-LaPlaca, IGI Global’s Director of Sales and Marketing for
Electronic Resources. “Our databases offer institutions
significant cost-beneficial savings to cutting-edge research that professors and students crave. We
are eager to get the news out about this new partnership with
Blackwell.”
New subscribers now have
the option of purchasing the database
directly from IGI Global or through
Blackwell.
“Working
with IGI Global is a great way for Blackwell to provide our
library customers with more options to comprehensive and
authoritative electronic material," said David Swords,
Blackwell's Vice President of Sales and
Marketing.
Responding to a strong
international market demand, IGI Global in 2007 launched
InfoSci-Books, a fully searchable database providing access to
chapters from every book and reference work IGI Global has
published since the year 2000. Exclusive features
include precise search and retrieval of chapter-level
abstracts and indexing, continual updates before books go to
print, and vast interdisciplinary research on a wealth of
fields impacted by information technology such as artificial
intelligence, electronic commerce, distance learning,
biomedicine, and healthcare information and management
systems.
