Hershey, PA – December 2, 2016– IGI Global, an international publisher of progressive information science and technology research, is pleased to announce the recipient of the 2016 InfoSci®-Journals Distinguished Fellowship: Dr. John Wang of Montclair State University, USA. The InfoSci®-Journals Distinguished Fellowship is an annual initiative to recognize an editor in chief for enriching the information science community through the dissemination of innovative research and excellent leadership in journal direction.

To qualify for this honor, an editor in chief must exhibit a record of success in raising citation, visibility, and scholarship of their journal. They must also secure an adequate quantity of submissions from leading authors and publish each journal issue on a timely basis. In addition, the fellowship honors exceptional work in gaining recognition of the journal in top indices.

Dr. Wang is Editor in Chief of seven IGI Global journals:

International Journal of Information Technology Project Management (IJITPM)
International Journal of Information Systems and Social Change (IJISSC)

International Journal of Information Systems and Supply Chain Management (IJISSCM)

Dr. John Wang is a professor in the Department of Information & Operations Management at Montclair State University, USA. Having received a scholarship award, he came to the USA and completed his PhD in operations research from Temple University. Due to his extraordinary contributions beyond a tenured full professor, Dr. Wang has been honored with a special range adjustment in 2006. He has published over 100 refereed papers and seven books. He has also developed several computer software programs based on his research findings. His long-term research goal is on the synergy of operations research, data mining and cybernetics.
