Evaluating Teacher Education Programs through Performance-Based Assessments
Drew Polly (University of North Carolina - Charlotte, USA)

As a common pursuit for all teacher education programs, licensure requirements as a pedantic discipline have entailed a sophisticated body of theory and applied knowledge. Teacher qualifications, therefore, are vital to keep in mind as teacher education programs seek to improve and sustain their practice. This book has well documented continuous improvement efforts and implementations of a diversity of program initiatives to deal with numerous challenges arising from edTPA and alternative forms of performance-based evaluations for teacher readiness. Questions have been raised as to what constitutes the broad picture of good teaching, as well as whether the constant bombardment of educational initiatives are all grounded into practices."
– Hui-Wen Tang, Teacher Education Center, Ming Chuan University, Taiwan, and Chia-Wen Tsai, Department of Information Management, Ming Chuan University, Taiwan

Strategic Tools and Methods for Promoting Hospitality and Tourism Services
Alexandru-Mircea Nedelea (Stefan cel Mare University of Suceava, Romania), Maximiliano Korstanje (University of Palermo, Argentina) and Babu George (Fort Hays State University, USA)

"Very useful nitty-gritty applications of tourism-relevant research methods that contribute original insights in constructing tourism management theory. Contributes greatly to tourism management theory!"
– Professor Arch G. Woodside, Boston College, US

Innovative Management Education Pedagogies for Preparing Next-Generation Leaders
Shalini Rahul Tiwari (Institute of Management Technology, India) and Lubna Nafees (Institute of Management Technology, India)

"The chapter “Effective Change in Educational Institutions: Does the Construct of Power Influence Management and Leadership Models in Everyday Professional Practice?” is particularly helpful, in which the authors determine the role of the leader in the introduction and integration of educational innovation process. [...] A very useful resource for Indian researchers of teaching methodology and innovative learning environments.
– Barbara Masourou, Ph.D, University of Athens, Greece

Global Perspectives and Local Challenges Surrounding International Student Mobility
Krishna Bista (University of Louisiana at Monroe, USA) and Charlotte Foster (Missouri Western State University, USA)

"This is a very timely book. It provides a wealth of insights into how to conceptualize, understand and measure international student mobility at a time when this has become a central issue for higher education institutions and policy-makers alike. Analyses of trends, cultural, pedagogical and legal issues all find their place in this highly informative and comprehensive work."
– Manuel Souto-Otero, PhD, University of Bath, UK

Handbook of Research on Civil Society and National Security in the Era of Cyber Warfare
Metodi Hadji-Janev (Military Academy "General Mihailo Apostolski", Macedonia) and Mitko Bogdanoski (Military Academy "General Mihailo Apostolski", Macedonia)

"This collection of research reports addressing problems of cyberterrorism in the digital age has been assembled by international law expert Hadji-Janev and engineer Bogdanoski (both, Military Academy "General Mihailo Apostolski," Macedonia). Contributors explore the threats of malicious intent (cyber warfare) that were largely unseen prior to the expansion of the Internet. Noteworthy is the importance placed on the international perspective and on the premise that geography and logistics no longer present a barrier to attacks. Authors argue that governments and citizens must prepare security solutions for new, unprecedented levels of national-security risk. The handbook begins with an extensive review of cyber warfare in civil society, and the 21 chapters aimed at researchers, experts, and legislators that follow present proposals on effecting change and managing risk. Topics include cyber profiling, hacktivism, and digital counter-terrorism. Summing Up: Recommended.”
– N. Reid, UCLA, USA, CHOICE, May 2016

Gender and Diversity Issues in Religious-Based Institutions and Organizations
Blanche Jackson Glimps (Tennessee State University, USA) and Theron Ford (John Carroll University, USA)

"In many ways, the contributors to this volume testify to the fact that ours is anything but a postracial or gender sensitive world, even in religious circles. Racial and gender objectification is a daily experience for many people around the globe. A resilient hope runs through the book that well-meaning religious educators and leaders inspired by their mission statements will strive to reclaim their confessed commitments and goals to do the right thing by exercising genuine gender diversity, justice, and equality. This book is long overdue and should be read, studied, and its content applied in every institution, school, and social organization worthy of its socio-religious commitment to the betterment of human interrelationships for a foreseeable and lasting future."
– Aliou Niang, Union Theological Seminary, New York USA. Reviewed in Reflective Teaching
