Professor-Academician Constantin Zopounidis Receives 2016 Excellence Award

Professor-Academician Constantin Zopounidis Receives 2016 Excellence AwardProfessor Constantin Zopounidis has been awarded the prestigious 2016 “Excellence Award” of the Faculty of Production Engineering & Management of the Technical University of Crete (TUC).

The award is presented in recognition of Professor Zopounidis' research and work in the field of multiple-criteria decision aid (MCDA) during the academic period of 2015-2016. During the awards ceremony Professor Zopounidis delivered a keynote speech.

Constantin Zopounidis is Professor and Director of the Laboratory of Financial Management Systems of the Faculty of Production Engineering and Management of the Technical University of Crete. He has published 90 books in Greek and international publishing houses and more than 450 scientific papers in international refereed journals. He is Editor in Chief of seven international journals in the fields of Financial Engineering, Multicriteria Decision Analysis, and Operations Research, including IGI Global's International Journal of Corporate Finance and Accounting (IJCFA) and International Journal of Food and Beverage Manufacturing and Business Models (IJFBMBM). He is a member of two prestigious Academies of Spain and Distinguished Research Professor at the Institute of Finance of Audencia Business School (EQUIS, AMBA, AACSB). During his long career, Professor Zopounidis has received numerous honours for his research contributions. To mention the most recent: in 2012 he was honored by Ecole Superieure de Paris (Londres) for his long-term contribution in Financial Engineering and Decision Making. A year later, in 2013, he was awarded the prestigious Edgeworth-Pareto Award from the International Society of Multicriteria Decision Analysis. During 2015 and 2016 he received honors from both Audencia Business School and MAICh. Please join us in congratulation of Professor Zopounidis' exemplary academic accomplishments.
