Akbar Esfahanipour

Akbar EsfahanipourAkbar Esfahanipour received his B.Sc in industrial engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology, Tehran, Iran in 1995. His M.Sc and PhD degrees are in industrial engineering from Tarbiat Modares University, Tehran, Iran in 1998 and 2004, respectively. He is currently an Assistant Professor at Industrial Engineering Department, Amirkabir University of Technology. Prior to joining Amirkabir University, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at DeGroote School of Business, McMaster University, Hamilton, ON, Canada. He has worked as a senior consultant for over 10 years in his specialized field of expertise in various industries. His research interests are in the areas of intelligent systems in business applications, forecasting in financial markets, application of soft computing methods in financial decision making, and analysis of financial risks. Dr. Esfahanipour has published his research articles on financial decision making in journals such as European Journal of Operational Research, Journal of Management Information Systems, Expert Systems with Applications, Knowledge-Based Systems, Applied Soft Computing, Neural Computing and applications, and Resources Policy.
