Amanda Deliman

Amanda Deliman , PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Early Childhood and Elementary Literacy Education in the School of Teacher Education and Leadership at Utah State University, based at the USU Salt Lake Center. She earned her Ph.D. in Literacy, Culture, and Language Education from Indiana University, as well as an M.S. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies and a B.S. in Elementary Education. Her research and teaching focus on teacher education, children’s literature, social-emotional learning, and drama in education. Dr. Deliman teaches in both undergraduate teacher preparation programs and graduate literacy education programs. She holds multiple certifications, including LETRS, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, and Social-Emotional Learning for Educators. Dr. Deliman is a recipient of several teaching awards, including the 2024 EEJ College of Education and Human Services Faculty Teacher of the Year and the 2022 Teaching Excellence Scholar Award.
