Bing Wu

Bing Wu: Head of the Computer Science Department at the Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT), Ireland. BSc and MSc in China, PhD from University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST), United Kingdom in 1996. Worked in the Department of Computer Science, Trinity College Dublin (1996-1998) and joined DIT in 1998. Research interests include knowledge representation and management, system engineering and re-engineering, and application of advanced computing techniques to real-world situations, such as healthcare informatics and bio-informatics, as well as industry-oriented software education. Served vice-chair of the project steering committee and general project manager for the EMERSION project, a 3-year EU Asia-Link funded project which was completed in 2006.
