Catalin Iulian Pruncu

Catalin Pruncu applies mechanical principles and design methodologies to solve problems in material behaviour produced by metal-forming processes, particularly on hot stamping and hot forging. His research is dedicated to further develop and validate hot form quench (HFQ®) Technology for use in the global automotive industry. Catalin has great experience in Microstructural characterization, Solid Mechanics, Fracture Mechanics, Tribology, Design Mechanics, & Finite Element Modelling determined both numerically and experimentally. He spends some time in industry to create high-integrity products for naval and nuclear application.
