Celso José da Costa

Celso José da Costa graduated in Mathematics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and accomplished his Master’s and PhD degree in Mathematics at the National Institute of Pure and Applied Mathematics (Impa). He is the director of the Mathematics Institute of the Federal University of the state of Rio de Janeiro and the co-founder of the Cederj consortium (Center of Distance Higher Education of Rio de Janeiro). He was responsible for the Distance Education Division of CAPES (Coordination Office for the Development of Higher Education Staff) from 2006 to 2010.
