Dusha C. Cecil

Shay Cecil , MSW, LCSW, PhD Student is the Director of Field Education for the Social Work Program at Southeast Missouri State University. Prior to the joining the department, Cecil was a practicing clinical social worker involving school, medical, substance use disorder, mental health, and trauma-informed settings. Cecil also has experience with individual, couple, and family therapy in an independent practice. Cecil is involved with a number of macro-level social work initiatives in the Cape Girardeau area focused on increasing financial sustainability to communities and households in high poverty areas. Cecil is currently pursuing her PhD in social psychology from Liberty University.
