Eiji Hihara

Professor Eiji Hihara received his doctoral degree from University of Tokyo in 1982. He became a Lecture (1982) and an Associate Professor (1983) in Mechanical Engineering Department, and a Full Professor (1999) in Institute of Environmental Studies at the University of Tokyo. His research interests include promotion of energy efficiency in residential sector, cooling systems using solar thermal, heat pump-desiccant hybrid air-conditioning systems, estimation method of energy consumption of domestic heat pump water heaters and package air conditioners, supercritical carbon dioxide cooling and boiling heat transfer, Low GWP refrigerant heat pumps (Vapor-liquid equilibrium for mixed-refrigerant), etc.
