Francis F. Balahadia

Francis F. Balahadia , a distinguished scholar in the field of Information Technology Education (ITE), holds a Doctor of Information Technology degree from University of the East-Manila. Currently, Dr. Balahadia hold the academic rank of Professor 1 and serves as Dean of the College of Computer Studies, Laguna State Polytechnic University last January 2024. In addition to his academic roles, Dr. Balahadia is an ICT Cluster Representative of LSPU in STAARRDEC, and Focal Person of DOST SEI Scholarship of LSPU. He is also former Program Coordinator for BS Information Technology, Masters of Information Technology, and Chairperson of the Innovation Technology Service Office (ITSO). Dr. Balahadia also gained certifications, including TESDA NC 2 and 3 certifications, PD 977-Scientific and Technological Specialist, and ISO certification for Train the Trainer and other IT-related certificates. Moreover, Dr. Balahadia's commitment to knowledge dissemination he received invitations as Resource Speaker in various training, seminars, workshop and research conferences. Furthermore, he served as a diligent research paper reviewer for both national and international conferences and journals. .His prolific research output includes more or less 60 published research papers, with almost 30 refereed journals, 31 Scopus Indexed and one ISI Index paper among them. Notably, his work has been cited by numerous authors, with 376 citations under Google Scholar. Lastly, Dr. Balahadia serves as a valuable member of the editorial board for prestigious journals, including the International Journal of Computing Science Research and the Asia Pacific Journal for Multidisciplinary Research. His unwavering commitment to advancing ITE, research and extension involvement continues to make a profound impact on the academic community. He also the Chairman of Committee for the Formulation of the LSPU Publication Office and Journal entitled “Journal of Interdisciplinary Science and Innovation Research (JISIR)”.
