Francisco José Monaco

Francisco Jose Monaco, Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, holds a professorship at the Department of Computer Systems, University of São Paulo, where he teaches courses on system software for both graduate and undergraduate students, and conducts scientific research in computational modeling and simulation. His main topics of investigation include evolutionary multi-objective optimization and unsupervised machine learning. He has authored several scientific articles, served in conferences' and journals' technical committees, and participated in national and international research projects. Dr. Monaco has been serving on the steering board of the USP Open Source Competence Center for over a decade, where he also coordinates the curricular course on Open-Source Systems for students of computer sciences, computer engineering, and information systems.
