Fred Hoffman

Dr. Fred P. Hoffman, D.Sc. currently serves as Interim Chairman and an Assistant Professor of Intelligence Studies at Mercyhurst University in Erie, Pennsylvania. Prior to joining the Mercyhurst faculty, Fred taught intelligence studies courses at The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. Fred has seven years of experience in competitive intelligence in the private sector and 30 years of experience as a human intelligence practitioner in the U.S. intelligence community. In addition to his doctorate, Fred also has a Master of Science in Intelligence Studies from the Defense Intelligence University, a Master of Arts in Asian Studies (Chinese) from the University of Michigan, and a Bachelor of Arts from Lawrence University. Fred holds active certifications as a Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) and Project Management Professional (PMP).
