Giorgio Valentini

Giorgio Valentini received the degree in biological sciences and in computer science from the University of Genova, Italy in 1981 and 1999, and the PhD degree in computer science from the same University in 2003. He is currently assistant professor at DSI, Computer Science Department of the University of Milano, Italy. His main research focuses on bioinformatics and machine learning. He is author of about 60 papers published in international peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. He is member of the International Neural Network Society and of the International Society of Computational Biology.
