During 1968-1988 Teaching Assistant, Laboratory Engineer, and Lecturer (Electronics, Computer Engineering, Physics, Digital Systems, and Computer Science) in Helsinki University of Technology, Research Assistant and Junior Researcher (Computer Science) in Finnish Academy of Sciences, and Researcher (Computer Engineering) in Valmet Corporation, FMS Group, Tampere, Finland. Principal Lecturer (Computer Engineering) 1988-1996 in Swedish Institute of Technology, Helsinki/Espoo. Principal lecturer (Information Technology) 1996-2013, and since 2013 Project Researcher (Information Technology) in Arcada University of Applied Sciences, Helsinki. During 1973-2013 visiting researcher and lecturer in several universities in the Soviet Union, Poland, England, Hungary, Germany and Canada. About 100 publications on performance evaluation of computer systems, computer architecture, networking, network security, information security, and applied cryptography. His current research interests are network security, information security, and applied cryptography
