Gregory E. Kerr

Gregory Kerr is an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology at Weill Medical College of Cornell University. His clinical areas of expertise include cardiac anesthesiology and critical care medicine. Leadership roles at New York Presbyterian Hospital include being the Medical Director of the Cardiothoracic ICU and Medical Director of Critical Care Services for NYPH. Dr. Kerr is actively engaged in the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the Society of Critical Care Medicine, the Commission to End Health Care Disparities, and is a fellow of the American College of Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Kerr has worked with New York Presbyterian Hospital and the other intensive care units in the institution to create a strong culture of patient safety and a culture where the best patient care is expected. The creation of the Housestaff Quality Council was a result of some of this work.
