Guandong Xu

Guandong Xu received his PhD degree in Computer Science from Victoria University, Australia, in 2009. Prior to this, he received B.Eng and M.Eng degree in Computer Science and Computer Engineering from Zhejiang University in 1989 and 1992, respectively. He is now a lecturer in the Faculty of Engineering & IT at University of Technology Sydney. During 2008-2009, he was an awardee of the prestigious Endeavour Research Fellowship by Australian Federal Government and working in the University of Tokyo. His research interests cover data mining, machine learning, Internet computing, Web search, recommender systems, social network analysis, data analytics as well as social computing. He has extensively published papers in international journals and conference proceedings in the areas of data mining, Web recommendation and social informatics.
