He undertook undergraduate studies in the field of Computer Education and Instructional Technologies (CEIT) between the years of 2005-2009 at Anadolu University. Hakan Altınpulluk continues to work in the field of Open and Distance Education, Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, Mobile Learning, Mobile Health, Massive Open Online Courses, Learning Management Systems, Open Educational Resources, Personal Learning Environments, and E-Learning Systems.
