Hans-Dietrich Haasis

Hans-Dietrich Haasis studied industrial engineering. He graduated in 1987 and promoted in 1993 to professor at the University of Karlsruhe. Since 1994 he is full professor for Business Administration, Production Management and Industrial Engineering at the University of Bremen. From July 1998 until 2001 he was dean of the department of economics. Moreover, since 2001 he is director of the ISL - Institute of Shipping Economics and Logistics, Bremen. Professor Haasis is author and co-author as well as editor and co-editor of 15 monographs and proceedings. In addition, he has published more than 50 contributions in scientific journals as well as proceedings and collections. He is amongst others member of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals, as well as member of the Editorial Board of „Logistics Research“, and member of the Editorial Review Board of the „International Journal of Operations and Quantitative Management“ and the “International Journal of Applied Logistics”.
