James L. Maiden

James Maiden , EdD, LPC, NCC, ACS, is the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs and Associate Professor in the Graduate School of Nursing at the Uniformed Services University. He also serves as the Principal Investigator for the Verizon Innovative Learning STEM Achievers Program. In these roles, he provides academic support, wellness programming, and mentorship to military nursing students, while leading initiatives that promote educational equity and STEM engagement among middle school students. A licensed mental health therapist, Dr. Maiden integrates holistic strategies to support student success and well-being. His research focuses on health determinants and intervention efficacy across individual, community, and policy contexts.
