Janet Salmons

Janet Salmons has served on the graduate faculty for the Capella University School of Business and Technology since 1999. Her consulting practice, Vision2Lead, Inc. (www.vision2lead.com), supports the development of virtual community and elearning for educational institutions, nonprofit and business organizations. She has extensive experience teaching, training and coaching on topics related to leadership, teamwork, and collaboration. She is a frequent conference and webinar presenter. Current publications include chapters in the Lexicon of Online and Distance Education (2009), Encyclopedia of Information Technology Curriculum Integration (2008), and in Student Plagiarism in an Online World Problems and Solutions (2007). She is author of Online Interviews in Real Time (2009), and Taxonomy of Online Collaboration: Theory and Applications in E-Learning (2009). She earned a PhD in interdisciplinary studies, concentration in educational leadership from Union Institute & University, an MA in policy studies from the State University of New York’s Empire State College and a BS in adult and community education from the College of Human Ecology at Cornell University.
