Jessica L. Koltz

Jessie Koltz , PhD, is an Assistant Professor and Program Director of the M.Ed. in School Counseling program at Utah State University. She brings over a decade of experience to the role, including eight years as a K-12 school counselor and three years as a counselor educator. Her expertise includes school counseling, counselor education and supervision, social-emotional and academic development (SEAD), and college and career readiness. Dr. Koltz’s research focuses on school counselor development and supervision, educator well-being through mindfulness, and program evaluation in counselor education. She earned her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of Nevada, Reno, her M.Ed. from Penn State, and a B.A. in Psychology and Early Childhood Education from SUNY Buffalo, where she was a Division I swimmer. She is an active member of ACA, ASCA, ACES, AEE, Chi Sigma Iota, and RMACES.
