Kaplan Uğurlu

Kaplan Uğurlu is Associate Professor at Kırklareli University, Faculty of Tourism in Kırklareli, Turkey. After his bachelor’s degree at Uludağ University, Turkey (BSc in Tourism and Hotel Management), he completed his master’s degree at the University of Surrey, England (MSc in International Hotel Management). He received his PhD at Marmara University, Turkey (PhD in Production Management and Marketing). He received his associate professor degree in 2019 from the Interuniversity Board Presidency of Turkey, Ankara. He has been working in Turkey for twelve years as an academician. He has worked as a senior manager for 28 years in the tourism sector. He is specialized in marketing, finance, accounting, cost controlling and hotel openings. He has more than 65 papers presented and published in national and international congresses, journals, and books. His academic research interests include tourism and hotel management, tourism and hotel marketing, accounting, and finance. Besides, he has theoretical and practical knowledge, experience, and qualifications in the fields of hotel openings, smart building project systems, smart tourism and marketing applications, sustainable tourism, and cultural studies.
