Kendra V. Saunders

Kendra V. Saunders , PhD, NCSP, is an Assistant Professor and Program Coordinator in the Department of Psychology and Special Education at East Texas A&M University. She is also a licensed psychologist. Dr. Saunders earned her Ph.D. in School Psychology from the University of Florida and completed her postdoctoral training in both school and pediatric psychology. Dr. Saunders has provided psychological services in K-12 settings and at Nemours Children’s Hospital, where she participated in pediatric pain management and oncology care teams. Her research focuses on improving access to culturally responsive mental health services in schools, with an emphasis on mental health attitudes, multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS), and dyslexia interventions in higher education. Dr. Saunders is a member of the National Association of School Psychologists, Trainers of School Psychologists, and the American Psychological Association, Division 16.
