Kirk R. Karwan

Kirk R. Karwan is an Associate Professor of Management Science in the College of Business Administration at the University of South Carolina in Columbia. Dr. Karwan has published broadly in information systems, operations management, engineering, operations research, and management. His articles have appeared in a wide array of journals including The Journal of Applied Psychology, IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man and Cybernetics, IIE Transactions, Naval Research Logistics, Interfaces, Information and Management, the Journal of Management Information Systems, and the Journal of Operations Management. His on-going research is in the areas of technology/information technology strategy, the technology transfer process, and manufacturing/operations strategy. His recent work in technology transfer has been funded through the Department of Energy in conjunction with the South Carolina Universities Research Educational Foundation and the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Engineering.
