Margarita Tecpoyotl-Torres

Margarita Tecpoyotl-TorresDr. Margarita Tecpoyotl Torres obtained the degree of mathematician (1991), from Universidad Autonoma de Puebla, BUAP, subsequently, the Master's degree (1997) and PhD (1999) in Electronics from the National Institute of Astrophysics, Optics and Electronics, INAOE. She works at Centro de Investigacion en Ingenieria y Ciencias Aplicadas, CIICAp, of Universidad Autonoma del Estado de Morelos, UAEM, since 1999. She realized two short research stays at the Weather and Environmental Management Research Centre of the University of Bristol, UK, in 2001 and 2003, in the area of antennas and radar systems; and a sabbatical year at Centro de Ciencias Aplicadas y Desarrollo Tecnologico, CCADET, of the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico, UNAM (2012). With a group of her students, she participated in Boot Camp, in UAEM (2013), obtaining the First place, in engineering. All this group obtained scholarships, by FUMEC, to participate in the Full immersion Program of TechBA, in Silicon Valley, in 2014. She co-founded in 2014, the first company incubated in the Knowledge Transfer Office of UAEM, INNTECVER S.A. de C. V., based on the marketing of the "Small broadcast TV antenna" patent. In 2015, she obtained the 3rd place in the Royal Academy of Engineering´s Leaders in Innovation Fellowships, UK. She has 4 patents granted by IMPI. She also holds 2 copyrights and 2 brands.
