Maria Luisa Mendoza López

Maria Luisa Mendoza LópezDra. Maria Luisa Mendoza López was born in 1975 in Tlahuac, Mexico City, Mexico. Currently Professor at Instituto Tecnológico de Querétaro (Technologic Institute of Queretaro) in both Mechanical Engineering and Materials Engineering. She obtained in 2005 her Ph.D. in materials science at CINVESTAV-IPN Unidad Queretaro. Her research topics are focused in: composite materials, water treatment and recycling of materials. She particularly study approaches to the selection of materials by properties and design. Other topic studied are: 1) electrophoretic deposition of colloidal silica, 2) Sol-gel coatings and organic polymer matrices for the formation of hybrid organic-inorganic composites. 3) Treatment of water polluted with heavy metal ions by electroless deposition. 4) Inverse opal structures for maximization and control of the surface area of bulk materials focused on treatment of polluted air and water.
