Mindy Crain-Dorough

Mindy Crain-Dorough, an Associate and Endowed Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership and Technology at Southeastern Louisiana University, teaches doctoral and masters research methods courses (quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods) and has served as methodologist on over 70 dissertation committees. She completed a bachelor’s degree in secondary mathematics education, a master’s degree in applied statistics, a master’s degree in educational research methodology and a Doctorate of Philosophy in educational research methodology all from Louisiana State University. She was a Research Analyst at the Louisiana Department of Education for nine years in the areas of assessment, accountability, and data reporting. She has publications in varied areas (e.g., research methods instruction, measuring dispositions of prospective principals), has given numerous presentations to professional organizations, (e.g., AERA and MSERA), and has served as president of the Louisiana Education Research Association and Chair of the AERA Professors of Education Research SIG.
