Nagaraj Ramrao

Nagaraj Ramrao , an eminent academician, researcher and an able administrator, is elevated as the Provost at Mohan Babu University. Till recently he was the Vice Chancellor of Mohan Babu University, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. He was also the Vice Chancellor of Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education, Srivilliputtur, Tamilnadu and prior to that he was the Director of Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology, (DA-IICT), Gandhinagar, Gujarat a state private university and also Mentor Director of Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT)-Vadodara, Gujarat. In his career spanning over more than 30 years, he was the Director and Principal of The Oxford College of Engineering, Bangalore and served as Professor & Head of the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering there. Earlier he was the Professor and Director of R.V. Center for Cognitive Technologies, a Research & Development Center under the Dept. of Electronics & Communication Engineering, R.V. College of Engineering, Bangalore. He has also worked as Asst. Engineer in Karnataka Power Corporation Ltd and also at MSRIT, Bangalore. He was also an Independent Director at Gujarat Informatics Ltd. He is a recipient of the Rashtreeya Shikshana Samiti Award for Academic Excellence for the years 2006 and 2007. He is also a recipient of RV VLSI Mentorship Award from RV VLSI Design Center, Bangalore. He was also a National Merit Scholar. Recently in Sept. 2020 he was conferred the Most Dedicated Vice Chancellor Award by Golden AIM conference and Awards for Excellence and Leadership in Education. He was conferred the Academic Leadership award by the Indo Universal Collaboration for Engineering Education (IUCEE) for the year 2020. He is a Senior Member of IEEE, Fellow – Institute of Engineers (India), recent past Chair-IEEE CIS Chapter-Gujarat Section, Life Member of IETE, ISTE, ACM and Computer Society of India. He is also a peer reviewer for various important International Journals/Transactions on Fault Tolerance and Optimal Control.
