Nicolas K. Haddad

Nicolas K. Haddad is a professor of Computer Engineering at the University of Balamand, Lebanon. He received his B.S. from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and his M.S. and Ph.D. from Ohio University before being appointed as an assistant professor at the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology. After his fifteen-year stay in the United States, Dr. Haddad returned to his home land Lebanon, where he taught as a full-timer at two Universities: Université Saint Joseph (past) and University of Balamand (present). In addition to teaching, Dr. Haddad has always worked as an electronics consultant for several local firms. He also established a Microcontroller Training Center for engineers who were not exposed to this area while in college. Dr. Haddad is the recipient of the 1994 distinguished teacher award at the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology. He speaks, reads and writes four languages fluently. He currently resides in Beirut, Lebanon with his wife, two daughters, and son.
