Omar Lengerke

Omar Lengerke, received his Engineering Degree in computational systems engineering from the Universidad Autónoma de Bucaramanga - UNAB, Colombia in 1999, and a M.Sc. in Control and Automation of Flexible Manufacturing Systems from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education - ITESM-CEM, Mexico in 2002. In 2010, received a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro - Brazil - COPPE/UFRJ, Brazil, with the thesis Mechatronics architecture for navigation for automated Guided vehicles with trailers on environments of flexible Manufacturing systems. Dr. Lengerke realized a postdoctoral stay in Mechatronics systems and robotics at the Robotics Laboratory from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro - Brazil - COPPE/UFRJ. Presently, is titular professor in the Mechatronics Engineering Department at UNAB – Colombia, editor of the Colombian Journal of Computation and Secretary of Government of Santander (Colombia) of Information and Communication Technologies. Dr Lengerke has published more than 50 works published in national and international congresses and indexed journals in the last 5 years. Currently, his areas of interest are Mechatronics design, Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), Robotics, AGVs, ICT, Industrial Automation.
