Patrick S. Murray

Patrick S. MurrayPatrick Murray is a Professor at The University of Southern Queensland in Australia, where he also lectures in human factors and aviation management. Patrick was an Air Force operational pilot and instructor prior to flying Boeing 747s as a Senior Check and Training Captain for Cathay Pacific Airways. Before joining The University of Queensland, Patrick was the Director of the Aerospace Strategic Study Centre at Griffith University. Patrick also served as Group General Manager of Air Transport Operations with the Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority. He is a member of the Line Operations Safety Audit (LOSA) Collaborative and his research interests include regional airline safety and efficiency, pilot selection and training, and error management.
