Reda M. S. Abdelaal

Reda Mohamed Said Abdelaal received the B.S. degree in mechanical engineering and the M.Eng. degree in operations research from Helwan University, Cairo, Egypt, in 1979 and 1982, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in industrial engineering from the School of Industrial Technology, Bradford University, England, in 1986. Since 1986, he has been an Assistant Professor, an Associate Professor, and a Full Professor with the Department of Production Engineering, College of Engineering, Helwan University. Currently, he is an Adjunct Professor in industrial engineering and an Advisor to the President of AlMaarefa University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. His bibliography included in Marquis Who’s Who in the World (14th edition, 1997). He joined King Abdulaziz University, in 2000, and a Full Professor with the Department of Industrial Engineering, College of Engineering. He was the Director of the College Academic Accreditation Unit (AAU), from 2004 to 2007. His research interests and publications in areas, such as operations research, system analysis and design, strategic planning, industrial scheduling models, engineering education, multi-criteria decision-making, assessment, and accreditation subjects. Dr. Abdelaal is also a Registered Member of Egyptian Syndicate for Professional Engineers. He was an active member of the College Accreditation Support Unit, from May 2007 to 2021. He has an Ideal Scholar from Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET, USA). In addition, he earned 21 professional development hours from ABET. He participated in constructing and implementing strategic planning for several public and private organizations. He was participated in more than 30 training programs inside and outside Egypt and for Arab and Foreign countries. He was an investigator/co-investigator for more than 35 funded projects. This besides, he has got more than 20 appreciated certificates from different sectors.
