Rita Baleiro

Rita Baleiro holds a PhD and a Masters in English and Portuguese Studies from the New University of Lisbon, and a first degree in Modern Languages and Literatures – Portuguese and English – also from the New University of Lisbon. She is a senior lecturer of English for Specific Purposes and Portuguese Language and Culture at the School of Management, Hospitality and Tourism of the University of the Algarve. She is a member of CITUR (Centre for Research, Development and Innovation in Tourism) and she collaborates with the Tourism, Space and Urbanities Research Group of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. She has been co-chief-editor of Dos Algarves: A Multidisciplinary e-Journal since 2007. Her research interests include literature studies, academic writing and the intersections between literature and tourism.
