Ritam Dutta

Ritam Dutta is an assistant professor at the School of Liberal Studies, UPES (Dehradun). He has an M.A in Comparative Literature from Jadavpur University (Kolkata) and a dual doctorate in Curriculum & Instruction (with a focus on Language, Culture, and Society) and Comparative International Education from the Pennsylvania State University (USA) He is an interdisciplinary scholar of literature, culture, and education/learning in different cultural spaces. He is particularly interested in the various collective leisure activities of the youth and the often complex socio-cultural associations between such cultural practices and the spaces where these are typically performed. Additionally, Ritam is an English language educator for the last 17 years and has taught both in India and abroad. He was a Fulbright Fellow (2008) in the India Studies Program at Indiana University, USA.
