Rui Pedro Pereira Almeida is Professor in Medical Imaging and Radiotherapy Department at the University of Algarve (Portugal). In 2009, he completed the Degree in Radiology at the University of Algarve. He holds a Master's Degree in Quality Management of Health Services from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Murcia (2015) and a PhD in Health Science from the International Doctoral School of the University of Murcia (Spain, 2020). He published dozens of scientific papers in specialized journals. Currently, his research interests are in the area of Health Sciences, particularly in the fields of Allied Health Professions Education, Quality Management, Health Services and Policies. He is also researcher at Comprehensive Health Research Centre (CHRC); CICS.NOVA.UÉvora, Interdisciplinary Centre of Social Sciences, University of Évora; and Center for Studies and Development in Health (CES), University of Algarve. Furthermore, he is the vice president of APIMR ((Medical Imaging and Radiotherapy Portuguese Association).
