Sally Ann Brown

Sally Brown is an Associate Professor of Literacy at Georgia Southern University where she teaches graduate and undergraduate literacy courses. Prior to this, she taught kindergarten through third grade in public elementary schools in South Carolina for over thirteen 13 years. Her research interests include emergent bilinguals, K-3rd language and literacy development, and digital literacies. She is the co-editor of Talking Points, a National Council of Teachers of English journal (http://www.ncte.org/journals/tp). In addition, she has published articles in several journals including Democracy and Education, The Reading Teacher, Literacy Research and Instruction, and the Journal of Latinos and Education.
